Fish Feeder

Anyone have a fish feeder they would be willing to trade/sell. I have quite a few corals I can frag/already fragged.

Need one because I will be doing a bit of traveling this summer and would like to get a consistent feeding schedule.

I love mine. Feeds 6 times a day now just a little bit they eat it all in less then 30 seconds. Sorry don't have one I want to part with though

I have the Apex AFS. Love it. Highly recommend if you have an Apex. I dont travel that often but I got mine to keep up with the feeding habits of my anthias.

Yeah when you showed me you use one Roger I realized they can be extremely helpful.

Unfortunately I don't have an Apex yet, so I'll just be going with a stand alone unit. I think FAOIS has them for like $35.

What brand is a good feeder? There is so many out there? I would like to get one. I don't have an apex so that won't work.

Thanks

My ehiem auto fish feeder is great. Feeds 6x a day and can adjust how much. I think that's the brand FAOIS sells.

I have a extra Eheim as a back up still sealed new in the box. You are welcome to buy it from me for $25. Save $5-10 from retail/sales tax. My original unit has been working like a champ for five years plus! Extremely reliable!

To make life even easier for you, I dont mind shipping if you PayPal me $30 total.

They run on AA or AAA batteries. Highly recommended brand and model.

I am also interested in trading zoa's if you have some species I am looking for.

Hey guy,

I have a spare one of the one pictured below that I can trade for a nice frag.

What do you have?

I have one of these feeding my fish all the time and it works great. You can program up to 4 feeding times and forget about it.

I only replenish food on mine about every two months.

Heads up what I have ready .. .. .. thank you for your consideration. Eheim has a great reputation which is why I bought it.

The original one in use keeps on chugging along 365 days a year for the last five years!

Keep it simple - Eheim for me was a good investment.

I also run their sub compact 5000 as an independent pump as a return for my 300DD.

I use a modified intelliFeed Fish Feeder for my tank at work.

If you peel the front silk screen, you will expose some switches.
Just solder 2 wires on the setting switch. You will need 1 s pulse to cycle one feed.
The two wire needs to be on a dry contact (relay), short the wire for 1 second and it will feed one cycle.
Any controller should be able to do this. Same feeder as the apex but half the cost.
This feeder has orings to seal the food.

Please eloborate further in regards to switch open close details. I assume you may use the break out box on the apex and serve as a simple switch?

Apex I/O break out is kind of a joke.

They have no idea what is an I/O is.
Apex break out has no outputs, just 6 inputs.

I/O = Input/Output.

You need to use a socket output, 120v and use a 120v relay.
Ebay has them for 3 for $3 with shipping.

I have no idea, why apex put their feeder on a bus line, for one signal.
So if you have a spare outlet on your controller, just connect a 120v relay to it.

On the contact side of the relay (dry), you connect the two wires you just soldered from the fish feeder.
Program the controller to feed when ever you want.
They are using the same feeder and charging twice as much.

If you need more information just let me know.
