Fish Guy on Craigs V2?

Well since the high school drama class took over the other thread, thought I'd start a new one and discuss, what we originally wanted to know or hear...feedback on the guy from Daly City. Never dealt with him, but with the price and the fact that his system is medicated I'm truly tempted to give him a visit and check out what he has.

Ive been there multiple times. His system is all medicated giving the water a yellowish tint. Even though his fish is under medication, i would still put it under quarantine just like any other fish i buy from others.

I purchased from Steve one time in 2012 - a purple tang and a pair ORA picasso clowns. Both are still doing great in my tank. The clowns are laying eggs regularly.

3 years and already laying eggs, ur one lucky guy.lol. I also have a pair clown from him and both are doing well. How often do u feed it?

I have been to Steve many times and will still be buying from him if not that I already have all the fish I want. One good thing about Steve is he is flexible in regards to accommodating his clients (except Wednesday). Wait he did see me one time on a Wednesday since I was coming from San Jose.
One bad experience from him does not deter me from coming back for the mistake was mine and I can't blame him. Glad that he has started to medicate his system but still no excuse not to practice using a qt.
One fish I got from him wiped out my entire system for the fish may have velvet but it was not his fault. The fish just came in and it was one of a hard to get wrasse and it just came in and he texted me. So I went and picked it up still on it's shipping bag and went home and started to acclimate and got an emergency call at home (rancho cucamonga) that I will have to be away for a couple of days. So no choice but to dump the fish in main tank for my qt was not ready. Came back after 3 days and 4 hard to get wrasses are dead and just started a chain reaction that wiped out the entire tank of fish. All have the signs of velvet.
The blame was not on Steve but me.
Still Steve is highly recommended and I still will be back and buy from him when the time comes. :-)
Practice good qt method.

I have never been to his place, thinking about visiting. A lot of people talk about buying fish from him but no one talk about buying corals and equipments. Does he sell those or he is just fish guy?

He has great deals on dry goods(salt, additives, test kits), clean up crew(hermits, snails, shrimp), and food as well. Whenever I know I'm headed out that way I try to make a stop by his place because his prices are cheap and he has great livestock.

Grab salt from him because it's dirt cheap, and Seachem's decision to not allow online sales of Aquavitro (or whatever the reason is) makes getting that salt a bit of a pain since I'd have to cross a bridge and drive at least 30 minutes to find a store that has it.

Can't say anything about his fish other than I know people who have gotten fish from him and were pleased.

I feed them 3 to 4 times a day. I've "trained" my kids, wife, whoever to drop in some food when they walk by. :lol2: Also, I mainly feed frozen food. Not sure if that matters or not.

He had the best prices on yellow tangs. I've bought fish from him multiple times, all survived well for months on end. Most have died however, but due to various unrelated issues.

It's Colin approved?! Must be a good place then! I'll check him out soon for sure.
