Thats not its mouth on the front of its "face". It has a flat underside like a plecostomus with a mouth on the underside of its head.

Well what did u buy it as?!? Was it just labeled "algae eater"!

Yep. Got it a week and a half ago (out of a sw tank) for $10. And it does eat algae.
What I'm worried about is how big is it going to get. It's in a 30gal now and growing fast!

I dunno ... that mouth on that fish doesn't look like it eats algae!

thats not its mouth. it's mouth is on it's underside like a pleco's.

I'm usually really good at ID but I've never seen anything like it. Does it "walk" or swim? Looks like a frogfish relative.

That inks messing with your mind puffy LOL. That was good. All joking aside, I have alo never seen a fish like this and as previously mentioned it looks nothing like a fish that eats algae!!
