I would estimate they get to be between 3 and 5 inches but don't move rock or coral. When you do go pick them up make sure you get a fighting conch, other conchs such as the tiger conch will eat other snails and a queen conch would get HUGE. Tiger conchs have a smooth shell while a fighting conch has "spikes" on one end.
I have both fighting and tiger conchs. I find the tiger to be faster on the surface of the sand bed and the fighting spends more time under the sand bed cleaning it out from in between so I bought another tiger. Two tigers and one fighting conch and my sand bed is like day one again plus no sand storm like the goby constantly digging tunnels and even moving corals lol
