i have a 210g (84"x24"x24") with 150lbs of live rock 150lbs live sand and i have the following livestocks:

2 true percs
3 barlett's anthias
1 flame hawk
1 mandarin goby
1 potter's angel
5 banggai cardinal
1 mystery wrasse (wimp)
1 velvet fairy wrasse (biggest fish in the tank)
2 harlequin shrimps
2 cleaner shrimps

would like to add:

Neon Pseudochromis
Oblique Lined Dottyback
Springeri Pseudochromis
Indigo Dottyback
peppermint hogfish

all 5 fishes will be added at the same time. do you guys think this is possible? thanks

Well, your shrimp will be toast, I suspect. And you will have a whole lot of aggression going on.

No........why not just stick with one pseudochromis species & try to form a pair. I'd give that much better odds than those 4 living together. That species is more likely to fight to the death before one runs & hides.............think pitbull mentality.

One pseudo pair & the peppermint hog would probably work fine.

i have 2 fridmani, 1 hybrid springeri x fridmani, and a sunrise pseudo..so far so good. the trick is to add the mean one last..i hope :) careful with the mystery..they can get mean and no more new shrimps..old shrimps maybe.

I've never had issues keeping two pseudochromis together in larger tanks. You do have to make sure you add them at the same time. Also, I'd suggest just sticking with a Springeri and a Fridmani and maybe try a Splendid (P. splendens) or Striped (P. sankeyi) if you really want a third. A group of sankeyi would be interesting to try as they live in small groups in nature.

thanks guys! i think i'll try a Springeri and a Fridmani combo. am not really worried about the mystery as he is probably the most docile mystery wrasse i've ever had.

lawboy

can you post a pic of a hybrid springeri x fridmani ? i've never seen one before, thanks

i thought sankeyi x fridmani is indigo..

You're correct, read it too quickly. I think lawboy got his species mixed up and is refering to the ORA Indigo.
