Has anyone ever had an issue using those totes you can see at Staplesor the like. just about ever where I believe they are polycarbonate but not sure
Thinking of making a sump with it.

I guess it really depends on what you want your sump to be..If you are just going to use it to add volume than it should be ok, but if your thinking a long the lines of using it line you see a lot of people here do, then no..

I was going to use this one(see pic). but I wanted baffles, and it was explained to me that putting baffles in it was going to be hard to do..and with that much water it would probably bow out.

so depending on what you going to use it for, your best bet would be to see if you can find a used one someplace, 20gal.

I was lucky I hit petsmarts sale they just had @ a $1 a gal and got a 40gal.

Like Scott mentioned above, you'll have to watch out for it bowing on you and making sure it is thick enough to prevent the tote from cracking.
