I was at Jofish today and they had a bunch of nice fish including a Chevron Tank, Clown Tang and some really healthy Yellow Tangs. The also had a bunch of Vortecs and Kessil 350's. Worth a run in guys.
Forgot to say the guys got a bunch of acans, lps and zoas in. Also a ton of hermits and snails. They even had a dinosaur egg monti and a bunch of nice fish.
I was in Jofish shortly after you were. I don't think that's a dinosaur egg monti, but a yellow with blue polyp, possibly M. peltiformis. I've had both those corals and they are different. Justin was talking about fragging it, in which cause I would definitely pick up a piece if the price was right. The M. peltiformis I had before was super slow growing and only showed bright yellow under high lighting for a montipora (300-400 par). But gosh what a piece. Here it is (was):
And for comparison here is a dino egg shot:
I will have both of these again one day.
I also saw the nice acans and had to stop myself from an impulse purchase. Jofish has definitely been stepping up their game. They've improved the lighting over their larger coral flat(s) and I think the corals look better.
You're right on the monti Ken, I thought it looked a little differant than what I remembered the dinosaur egg looking like but still a very pretty piece. Glad to see you showing some interest in the salty critters again.
