fish tank insurance

after reading of people's tank crashing and loosing thousands of dollars. why is not some type of insurance to help reimburse some of the lose. after seeing and reading about some people's tank and seeing what some corals cost, i would gladly pay a fee per month to help get back even some of the cost if something did happen and lost everything. just a thought, i have crazy thoughts from time to time.

Insurance Co's will only cover Equipment like the tank Stand Pumps Skimmers, But Livestock is not Insurable at any price as far as I'm aware! It would be a losing proposition for too many people Kill more Coral than they keep alive, Unfortunatly...

you may be able to get "replacement insurance" but it usually costs 1/2 to 2/3 of the value per year so you would probably lose out there .

It would be hard to do cause likr bill was saying insurance could argue that your lack of preparedness or knowledge was the demise of your system. Some losses are due to "acts of god" storms knocking out power aNd whatnot...then agents would have to be educated to perform duties and assessments......
