I just started my nanocube dx and just added my sand. I am going to add my lr in one hour after the sand settles down. Does anyone think that 20 lb is to much for my cube? I will have pics later

Depends on the density of the rock, if the rock is very dense this might work, otherwise you'll probably have a very rock heavy tank with not much room for coral.

my ammonia is at zero, nitrite at 0.25, nitrate at 7.5. I am almost done cycling. I am still having low ph at 7.8 sometimes.I think that i will add cleanup crew next week.

today i am ordering reef crystal salt, a nano fission protien skimmer, and the tap water filter from drs foster smith. Should i use osmo prep marine for my tap water filter after the water has been purified? Also, kent came out with a reef supplement specially for nano reefs. it is called nanoreef parts a and b. I am going to try it.

I would skip the Fission Skimmer. I bought one and the quality is not very good and it will not fit inside a chamber, have the hood close, and still come anywhere near working. Just my opinion...

I would wait on the shrimp until you get the nitrates down a little, I have read that they are sensitive to nitrates. It will go down, just wait a week or so and do some small water changes in the mean time. Make sure you are not running any sponges or the like in your filtration.

Best,
