Fixing powerhead?

I accidentally dried out the original suction cup that came with it by accidently leaving it in vinegar too long. So I went to Canadian tire and grabbed a pack of 3 suction cups with metal hooks on them and some krazy glue. I removed the metal hooks from the suction cup and glued it to the original then proceeded to press together and am letting it sit 24 hours. My question is are there any other precautions I should take? I don't have livestock so to say but a couple hitch hikers I don't want to kill. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you look at the krazy glue label, does it say cyanoacrylate? If so, you're fine.

It says "Contains ethyl cyanoacrylate." I assume that's what you mean?

What kind of powerhead is it? My maxi-jet had suction cups that were ruined by being in saltwater for to long. If the option is available I would look into getting a magnet mount upgrade, it'll cost you more than the replacement suction cups but I feel the cost is worth the longevity and mounting strength.

Sometimes suction cups can be brought back to life by throwing them in some boiling water for 10 seconds or so. Eventually they'll become brittle and might even deteriorate, but it's worth a shot if your in a pinch.

So the powerhead is a Coralife Circulation Pump either 750 or 1300. I ended up finding a replacement part here https://centralspareparts.myshopify.com/products/coralife-circulation-pump-wavemaker-suction-cup if this doesn't work I will be going the magnet route if I can find one that fits it.
