Flame Angel vs. Xenia

Hi All,

I was wondering if there is any way to stop my Flame angel from nipping in my Waving hands Xenia. He seems to have a taste for it and it has been reduced to a little white pile.

I have tried feeding him abundantly, but it doesnt seem to have an affect.

Foods tried:

1. Mysis
2. Brine
3. blood worms
4. squid
5. cyclopeeze
6. flake

Any ideas?

Do i just need to remove him?

yeah, you're not going to change his behavior by supplementing his diet. He found something that he enjoys, and most likely won't be deterred. so, which do you prefer, the xenia or the flame, because one way or another you're more than likely going to have to choose between the two.

Unfortunately I think shiveley is right - not all angels develop a taste for the polyp, but since this one has - it will be rather difficult to break him of it unless you remove one or the other.

I had some difficulty's with a female clown fish. She looked like she was diving in and hosting the Xenia only to come out with a mouthful and then tearing the polyp off of the colony.

I would dump the xenia... It is like a weed
