Flame angel with cloudy eye

My Flame angel has developed a cloudy eye. He is swimming and eating just fine. I tried the sticky at the top of the page but all I get is a search function disabled message. I added a tablet of Maracyn. I have a couple of questions. Is this potentially fatal? Will my skimmer remove the antibiotic? Is there a better treatment than maracyn? I posted this in the fish disease forum last night but nobody goes there.

Could be flukes. There are several medications for flukes (PraziPro being one of them), but I've seen a freshwater dip used with good results as well. The PraziPro is supposed to be reef safe, but I have only ever used it on a fish only system.

For a freshwater dip, mix a 20% saltwater/80% RODI freshwater bath in a small container (clear if you have one so you can see the flukes falling off the eye). Match temp and pH as close to your tank water and put the fish in for 10-12 minutes. Watch to see what falls off and look closely at the gill plates. If it's flukes you will see them fall off the eye and probably out of the gills.

Flukes look like tiny flatworms. They will be clearwhite/white as they are falling off in the freshwater dip.

After 10-12 minutes and the eye is clear, return the fish to the tank.

Thanks Colin! Ya my mom bought it for me for an early b-day gift last weekend. Also got a purple tipped frogspawn. Thanks for the search help, that is simply infuriating that I can't search.
