Flame Fairy Wrasse

I've had a male and female for about 7-8 months now. I bought them together, but I couldn't really say that they were a "pair". They do get along and mostly hang out with each other all day. I can't really say I see the male flashing her a lot. He flashes the glass and other fish more often. I'm pretty content with them, but I have the opportunity to get another female. I'm wondering what people think about that. A few questions I have is; Do you think they will accept her and create a harem? Has it been too long to add another female? I don't wAnt to disrupt anything. Let me here your thoughts, thanks.

Flame wrasse are notorious for turning male.. all 3 of your flames will eventually turn male and the newer male tends to kill the older male..

you can keep adding females, just be prepared to keep pulling males and selling them. Not a bad trade imo

From what I know these wrasses do not form true pairs but rather live in harem groups. If the tank is large enough 3 may work.
Though I would always introduce the smallest (female) first so that it has the home advantage when the next larger is added a few days later.
Adding the smallest last can lead to it being killed right away or at a minimum bullied.

+another; I wouldn't do it.

As it stands, you're highly likely to end up with two males eventually. No need to add a third to that mix.

Thanks for the input. I kind of figured as much with the harassment issues. I'm going to pass on the second female. All the tank mates in general are getting along and likewise the wrasses so I'm not going to jeopardize anything.
