For about 3 weeks my male flame has been M.I.A I assumed that it had become victom to mystery killer.
I purchaced replacement to go with the 3 females. While watching tank for extended period I noticed that the missing male is still alive and swimming. My new supermale is actualy smaller, and more active. There is lots of live rock and tons of places to hide (aperently so) what are the odds that they will coexist?

In my opinion, despite your large tank, not high. Sounds as if your original flame may have internal parasites. But if he recovers, you will likely have world war III

Love those flame wrasses. I have the same situation where the Mystery just snuffed my flame and I have not seen it for a week. I was looking of adding another flame today but maybe I better wait for two more weeks. Keep us updated on that drama.

wait it out, you may have a fish revert back to female as long as both are not terminal.... if you notice lots of agression then you know to give one the boot. who knows it COULD be ok
