Flasher obsessed with food

Not that I'm complaining that he's eating but I have a feeding ring in my tank and my line spot flasher seems to just hang out by it once he learned that's where food comes from. I have my feeder feed flakes, pellets and cyclopeeze 3 times a day. I was really hoping he would be swimming out and about more but that's his favorite spot in the tank. Anyone else's obsessed with food.

About a month and a half. Just put in the QT last week.

Don't get me wrong, he does swim a lot but always seems to end up back at my feeding ring.

Watch him carefully. Has he been in the display tank or only quarantine? I always am leery of fish behavior that can be indicative of something else.

He was in QT for a month and didn't display any odd behavior. He is very responsive when I come in the room, much more so than my melanurus wrasse.

Many fish, but especially wrasses are quick to figure out about the intricacies of being fed, especially when it is at the same time and the same place, as is your situation with the feeding ring and feeder. Does he look like he is hiding or is he just in the general vicinity of the feeding ring. He should be swimming around the tank except for the few minutes before the feeder dipenses food.
