Flasher Wrasse ID

Hey everyone. my mom has a wrasse and got rid of a bully angel and is looking to add some more wrasse to help make this one feel more at home. It is roughly 2.5" and has the spike at the front (male?) Any help is appreciated! (sorry the picture sucks, hes fast)

Either a McCosker's or a Carpenter's, IMO.

Is there one dorsal spike or are there several? McCosker's only has one, Carpenter's has four or five (can't remember).

rssjsb, very good info, have never heard that before for the ID. I had one before I bought as a Carpenter's, but people started telling me when I post pics it's a McCosker's. Then others tell me a Carpenter's LOL. I had given up trying to figure out which, so I'm off to look at my old pics again!
