Time for some flatworm exit? There's quite a few on my glass, I don't notice any on any of my corals yet. They are a rusty brown color, these pics were hard to take so sorry for the quality.

FWIW - most are harmless and will self limit their population. There are several natural predators for them - I'm using a Green Coris Wrasse and he seems to be helping.

I am very leery of putting any chemical in my system - sure, you may get rid of the perceived problem, but at what cost???

i have them, too. siphoned out a huge amount today while doing my weekly water change. moving yellow coris wrasse from qt to dt, hoping he will help me out!

Hmm well I don't believe they are red planaria, they don't look red at all and don't take the same shape as the ones I've seen on google images. I don't think they are a huge issue because I see none bothering my corals. Maybe a wrasse is in my future, as a natural way to limit the population, but even then, it's not a guarantee that it would eat them. For now I think my plan will just be to monitor the corals and siphon the flatworms out whenever I do water changes. If they start bothering my corals, then maybe I'll take more action.

Sounds like a great plan.

If you can keep them in check that way, or if they keep themselves in check.....that is far better than chemicals.

I ahve used FlatWorm Exit. I used it improperly(not sucking out enough of them) the first time, and it wiped out pretty much my whole tank. 2nd time it did the job....but I lost asterina stars....which I liked. I had many dozens on the glass when lights went on, and I have not seen them since.

FWE does work though.....there are better ways though
