Flatworms in SH tank

Flat worm exit should work. Just make sure you siphon as many dead flatworms as you can and do a water change with plenty of carbon. I try to pull out of the tank whatever has the flatworms and remove them that way.

I have a few on the glass as well and on a few mushrooms so I have not done anything yet but they are creatures that hide very well. Don't be fooled.
Good luck
:)

I haven't been able to get to the LFS yet. Now they all seem to be hanging on one branch of the red caulerpa. Weird.

flat worms are like dandalines there realitively harmless just unsightly if you really want to get rid of them for good i would suggest a velvet nudibronc (sp?) they have been used rather successfully in all the tanks at my LFS

I'd love to do that, but do you rent them out? It's only a 20 gallon tank and I would think the nudi would starve after awhile. I've suggested this rental program for nudi's to take care of aptasia and flatworms to a couple of lfs but they don't like the idea at all. I'd pay handsomely to have one of those beautiful animals take care of my problem in an eco-friendly way. If the person kills the nudi, then they pay for it.

Sixline wrasse.

A sixline is about the last fish I would put in with seahorses.

It'll outcompete them for pods, and eventually get very agressive.

Well as long as your sea horses are eating frozen food, then pods should be no problem huh?

And I have kept a sixline in my old 55 gallon reef and we have many at work. I think I can safely say that I have not seen them aggressive- at eating time or any other time for that matter.

However, I did not catch the tank size. IMO, sixlines should atleast have 30 gallons of swimming room.

I've had six lines with seahorses before too; with no problems. It seems as though they don't even notice the seahorses are there. I agree that six lines can get aggressive, but I've never seen it directed at seahorses.

what is flatworm exit & is it safe to use in a stocked reef?

I don't know what's in it, but it says it's safe. This last time I used almost 3 times the recommended dose and that's when I had some pod death.
