Flexible PVC

I like Fuzzy Sticks
Anyone know where I can get 1 1/4" flexible pvc (spa-flex hose)from locally? I tried Lowes and Home Depot and they don't have that size. I know i can get it online from www.savko.com (they have been great) but I was hoping to pick some up this weekend.

I only need a very small amount (like a foot or two). If anyone has any they can spare or knows where I can get some locally, let me know.

Thanks!!!!

have you tried Blackman plumbing supplies. there is one on rt 112 medford between long island avenue and the LIE on the right hand side.

Any hot tub or spa store should have it. I got mine at Pool Tech on Route 110 in Farmingdale. $1 a ft!

Did they sell the cement for it, too??

Chris:

I have a friend who owns a pool store in Holbrook. I will ask him tomorrow and if he has, I will let you know.

Use the Oatey (sp) Rain N Shine (blue) PVC cement. Use the purple PVC primer 1st followed by the Rain N Shine and also as you insert the hose into the fitting, make sure you rotate one of the parts 90 degree's to ensure a god seal + hold it in (together) for 30+ seconds so it doesnt push out and usually sets up and can be run in about 4 hrs after assembly. Ive used it on a 1.5hp pump and so far held up great in Az for over 6 months...

I understand that that can work, but it's not the cement meant for flex PVC. I've had leaks develop with the blue rain/shine stuff.

It's too bad we live so far apart LOL I have a 50 foot roll you could have as much as you want fo free. 1.25" is kind of an odd size and I'll never use it. FWIW I got mine from a pond supply store. You might try that, they seem to use that size more than anyone else.

I checked Huntington plumbing supply and they don't have it either. They all have the 1" or 1 1/2" but not the 1 1/4".

Dave - If you find out that your friend with the pool store in Holbrook has it, let me know. Thanks!!

Nobody seems to carry this size. If I can't get it today, I will have to postpone my weekend project of moving my sump to the basement and order it online.

got to the biggest ship supply store/marina in your area. they should have. Its a common supply on boats. I actually bought some yesterday out here in Montauk, but I'm sure there some closer to you.

Another option is if you have the room, get 1 1/2" by 1 1/4" reducing bushings and put in a section of the readily available 1 1/2" flex pipe.
