Floating Anemone

I recently purchased a GBTA and he was doing fine. As of yesterday it has been doing sommersaults non-stop. It is constantly flipping around and will not attach. It appears to be fully open and it doesnt appear to be in any distress. I could use a little input. Anyone have experience about this.

by the way all water parameters are with-in limits except the salinity which was 1.026, it has since been brought down to 1.024.

If the salinity of the fluid within the anemone is less than the salinity in the tank, it is impossible for the anemone to sink. Once the anemone exchanges its internal fluid for the water of the aquarium, it will sink.

bring the salinity back up to 1.026 where is should be.

lower the flow until it attaches, you need to help it find a place

the gbta was in the tank for almost a week without incident it has only started doing this in the past two days.

mine did that yesterday I had to turn the flow off and the filters off for a lil while and it settled itself into the flower pot my clowns are hosting

I just redirected the flow and it seems to have settled, I also feed it and it ate two pieces of silversides. I wait and see if it remains still.

Well he is still not sticking and i keep finding him upside down. Any ideas what can be done to assit him the clowns dont go near him but i know they will choose thier own time.

I have one that has started to do this as well....it's my biggest in the tank. All of my other RBTA/GBTA's are staying put while this big one is just floating around.....sometimes sticking to the rock but lets go soon after.

It inflates it's foot to move but starts to float.

I have two Koralia2's in my 30g cube with a floating nem....I turned off one and stuffed the nem into it's nook and it reattached itself....gonna give it a few days before turning the second K2 back on.
