im not sure if i understand flow, like when a coral needs heavy flow does that mean that the power head is like pointing right on it? and light flow means an area with just regular currents?
If the coral is in front of powerhead the coral would be blown away and woul not like it at all.
Heavy flow would be considered when the corals is constantly moving with some decent force. Medium flow is when the coral would be gently swaying in the curent. Low fglow is when the coral would look like it is in slow motion and gets very little current.
It all depends on the coral and the powerhead. There really aren't good definitions for low, medium, and high flow that I've seen. What corals are you trying to keep?
None of those coral need much flow, unless I'm forgetting about sun corals. Probably 10x the tank size in gallon per hour would be fine, i.e., 300 gph total circulation for a 30 gallon tank. Circulation often requires some experimentation, though.
