Flowwolf v2.0 flow diverter

I bought mine last year and it has been the worse purchase ever. Worked for a month then broke the change then broke I am know waiting for my third replacement. After 1 year of ownership I have had about 3 months of use. I would not buy this item again.

Hi Prietti thanks for posting.
Have you had problems with your controller or motor or both?

Hi Prietti thanks for posting.
Have you had problems with your controller or motor or both?

I have PMed Prietti asking the same question:) Its a new product with some bugs to be worked out for sure. I have not fired mine up yet but the hobbiest that I talked with really like them when working:( Lucas the owner of Flowwolf seems to be working hard to get the bugs out and is building his customer service support up here in the US last I heard from him?

I bought my flowwolf as a Christmas gift to myself last year. In nearly a year it has failed 3 times. The issue IMO is the internal drum and diverted are cnc'ed with too minute tolerances, so it jams even under water pressure. When this happens the motor blows up. I'm currently awaiting for my 4th replacement. Each replacement takes nearly 2 months get back to you dispute constant emails and even though I am only in the UK which is close to Spain. I get a quicker turn around from China! It is not in my nature to slander a product but also knowing other 2 hobbyists who have the flowwolf are having the exact same problem.

I am using the Jebao 12000 at half setting. So well within the flow parameters set out by Derkroon

Thank you but there goes my theory :(
I'm waiting on my second motor the same thing happened to me.
It took 2 months to get but that was allegedly customs fault.
I had it working great for three days and then the motor just stopped.
Lucas worked with me via email to trouble shoot but in the end he was able to send me a cap to make the unit somewhat usable while the new motor is shipped so I appreciate that.
I'm told Lucas is working things out so hopefully i will be able to post back soon with good news. I can totally understand that sh*+ happens but I have to admit it is un settling to hear others with the same problem.
Lucas seems genuine and I have confidence in him to do the rite thing.
This has the potential to be a great setup and a game changer for my system so hopefully they will get things sorted out soon.

Good luck and please keep this post updated.
Thanks
MikeC

Ps I'm using a Reflo Dart/Snapper turned down with a ball valve which is also under the recommended max?

Did you just copy my initial post!!!(joke) Snap!!

I sent Lucas an email asking him to join RC and search out these threads. I explained that I/we would like to hear from him regarding the ongoing problems with all generations of the Flowwolf and his companies plan for resolve. I also asked him to share with us hobbiest who are not having problems since it seems most are?
Finally I asked him if I could return mine since its never been used and the number's show I will have problems.
We will see how it goes?
I would guess with all the Flowwolf users I have talked with it a combo of problems both with its tolerances and over rated flow rate the unit can handle.
From the few dealings I have had with Lucas he seems like a stand up guy but to have a product that you can't trust when new and to keep shipping it back for repairs is unacceptable to me.
Please keep this thread updated with your Flowwolf dealings.

Well it has been a month since my first pump stopped working.
It has been 2 weeks since I was told a replacement will be mailed out.
It is Friday night and UPS has not arrived by now I guess we are looking to next week? week 3. :sad2:

My only guess is the Donkey that delivers there stuff died?:deadhorse1:

No answers threw e-mail:headwalls::thumbdown

Warning to all that order from derKroon or dk-marine.
There're a lot of people waiting for the products that they have ordered or waiting for refund that never arrives.
Premium aquatics in USA has dropped them
Fish no chip in uk has droppen them
And others have as well.
They seam like to help. But in all it's just a lot of hot air!
Buyer beware!

well....at least I have a nice looking manifold

What is your plan if the pump never works out?

Will you just run it like a original closed loop with one pump on continuously?
I had hopes for a DC pump that was supposed to be able to work with APEX(eventually) and speed control but I haven't heard much on that lately?

I was going to use three pumps and each running 2 returns on variable speeds.

Thoughts and ideas welcome :bounce1:

Ok I just go a email from Lucas and my " brand new controller + motor block with the upgraded specs and materials, will arrive Thursday :D
very happy to hear these words upgraded specs and materials

Thank you Lucas:wave:

I got the same email last week. Honestly I will believe it when I have the items in hand. As to my plans if no replacement comes I will run the 'expensive manifold' with my Jebao but I will write some Arduino code and make a variable output. Also am rather interested in the new maxspect gyros which are coming out.

I bought my Flowwolfs in October, and had them custom made. They were supposed to be 1 1/4" outlets and 1 1/2" inlets. I received their standard blocks. Lucas replaced them with the correct blocks within about 2 weeks. I haven't tested them yet, and I hope I don't have the problems yall have had.

My question for ya'll that have had problems. When did you purchase your units, was it last year or this year? Hopefully the "new" blocks work better then the previous generation.

I have had mine changed 3 times and each time to the newer version so I don't think it has anything to do with what version.
