Flowwolf v2.0 flow diverter

Everybody I know have relegated them to the bin. I actually have one replacement one which has been sitting in its box unopened for 8 months now. The thought of replacing water on the floor nagging wife for something which is destined to fail again is not worth it. Even tried to sell on Ebay but nobody even made an offer. They are a total waste of money.

As far as I know,there is no one in Norway using them either.Have tried to Google it,but there is more or less nothing info about it,except here.
But I do agree with you,they are completely useless and a waste of money.This include also the so called "service" from DerKroon.
 
I ended up throwing both of mine and over $1500 away. Sad part is that I really loved the flow they created in my 8ft tank when they worked which is only for a few days each time but after replacing them 3 times I had enough!

I love mine and it works like a dream.
Original purchase was in 2014 I've had a few upgrades but other than that nothing but help from Lucas.
Sorry to hear you guys have had so much trouble, I can't imagine my tank without it.
There is nothing like having TRUE random flow in a reef tank.
 
I think the big issue is the flow rating on them. I don't they're accurately calculated. I know MikeC has had great success with his. I was using a larger pump but still smaller than the max that they said it could handle. I breached the seal and fried the motors on everyone.

Same here,two breached seals( using a Deltec E flow,causing fried FW)and one stepper engine vibrating and noisey like a V8. Was almost afraid that the vibration could cause leaks in the true unions/ glued parts .So no more FWX!
 
I'm running the vectras now on my closed loop and they would probably work perfectly with the fw now.
 
I thought I was the only one, I purchased a FWX in January, Still waiting for delivery but after reading all your comments I think I'll just ask for a refund :sad2:
 
Do not buy the flo wolf, I have spent so much money got an up grade for another $1000 and it does not work at most will work 3 months and then breaks. Lucas is now non-responsive to any e-mails. Mine is still under warranty but what do you do sue them??

Hi mhsmith Im just curious did you do the monthly required maintenance?
What is not working? (i.e. internet connectivity or the drum not turning?,programing?)
I have overcome some issues and maybe I could help :thumbsup:
 
both are not working. I cannot get internet to connect and work. The drum does not rotate through all 6 openings only three. I have done what Lucas originally told me to re connect with the FWX and it says it is connected but nothing changes. I have opened the unit and made sure that the drum was in proper place but it still doesn't move correctly
