Foam Guards for PH?

I'm a newb to RC and The search function wasn't very helpful for me this time.

I know that I need to cover my powerheads so my nems don't get sucked in. I've been lucky the last few months but I don't want to take any chances. I've seen too many horror stories to go unprotected any longer.

What is the best way to cover a K2 powerhead?

What is the best foam or mesh and where can I find some?

You should b able to find it at yout LFS. I guess any type of foam is good as long as it goes all around. make sure it is on securely and you can tie it with fishing line. hope this helps a little

Alternative to fishing line are electrical wire ties. The foam should be cleaned often. I do mine at least weekly

definitly. they get dirty very fast. Everytime you feed, clean the glass etc, the stuff collects on the foam. If you don't stay on top of it, watch your nitrates sky rocket...
