Didn't think I would ever say this, but I can't wait for some algae to show up, so I can put a cleaner crew in there. :eek1:

Wow, even with just the white light the color looks very clear and crisp. Glad to see the quick update. After seeing these pics, I wish I had the money for some new LEDs

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Having a small problem fitting the refugium under the stand. It will fit perfectly in the spot, but I forgot that we have to get in inside and under there first...One pump and one of the tank supports will have to be removed in order to get it in. Never a dull moment.....

Patiently waiting for some algae to show up now....

That's the best foam/rock wall I have seen. It looks like you don't have much rock otherwise and it's not needed. I can't wait to see it with fish and coral. What do you plan on putting in there?

I can see this being featured as TOTM a year from now when its all filled in with coral. Looks excellent now and its empty!

Hello all, I am the hairy armed guy featured in some of the pictures. ;)

I installed the new fuge underneath the beast today, here is the story.

First I took a picture to remember what it looked like in case it collapsed and I had to flee the country.

Floorjack and emergency board in case the jack failed.

Apparently they nailed that piece from the top as well as screwing it from inside. It is unfortunate the top split when I hammered it out of there. Had I known they were there I would have knocked the bottom out and not damaged the it. :(

It really didn't want to fit even with the brace moved.
BTW: That was a brand new ball valve that froze. Never use channel locks to try and turn em....

Smashed the hell out of my thumb forcing it in there!

I was overjoyed when I got it to pop in under the drain valve!

Decided it was best to just put the 2x4 behind there with the brace cracked at the top.

All done and running! Splitting off one of the overflows was a really good idea, I really like it. Beats taking it from the pump by a mile.

It was much scarier thinking about it than actually doing it....

OMG, you are my hero! :love1:

I was sitting at work wondering whether I would come home to an empty spot where the tank once stood...or a flooded house and a pile of glass and wood and foam rubble and my man moved to Tahiti or some other far away place...It looks awesome, what a cool fuge! I dug up some lights from the garage and as soon as they are installed (please), it's cheato time !

Wow...look at that! Better and better with every update! Still loving the rock on the left side.

BTW, my touch n foam are on the way!!! I will be happy if mine turn out looking half as good as your.

WOW! The wall looks awesome! I wonder if this is something that will look equally as good in a smaller tank. I am cycling a 38 gallon and don't know what to do with it. What do you think?

Ladybug, there are a bunch of threads in this forum now, where it's been done to tanks ranging from 5.5 gallons to the size of ours. And they all look spectacular.

You'd have to interrupt your cycling process for a little while, but it will be well worth it.
