food for macros

Is there any special nutrients or food that i need to add to a tank of caulerpa that would benefit from it? Do Macros need food? Or should i just leave it in the tank as is. (by the way its a ten gal fuge, separate from the main tank)

I have heard that some marine plants like turtle grass do better with some iron.

But basically I just use the nutrients my system generates and the macros do just fine.

Like Bob I use the nutrients in the system except I have started adding Kent Iron supplement. It is too early to say if there is an improvement or not.
