For Those Of You Who Were Asking...

...For the last four months, I've been dealing with my second tank crash; this time due to a copper infusion the source of which is STILL unknown. Finally, my Poly Pads are coming back clean so I will start to rebuild the reef structure in another week or so. I will be using about 90% new (cycled) LR but I have to "˜scape it while it's full of water and fish so I'm thinking the entire project should take about 6 weeks or so [500g]. Believe it or not, I'm looking forward to this. Not much will change; maybe a couple more LPS, at the request of my daughter, but still SPS dominant. Even though this phase is still a ways off yet, I mention it in hopes you guys will continue to post shots of your finest acro specimens so, if anything, I can begin to shop now in comfort. I just wanted to mention that to counter a few of those "He's out of the hobby" rumors I've been hearing lately. No way. No way.

Way to go.
I remember your awesome tank from around 10 years ago.
How did you find out it was copper?

Mike, your persistence is inspirational. I don't know if I would have the strength to continue if it happened to me twice. Kudos, and can't wait to see the new setup. I'm sure it will be breathtaking.

Poly-Pad after 24 hours.

You obviously have a strong love for the hobby....having been at a high level for so long and the persistence to carry on through tank a tank crash or two.

Yikes - no true hobbyist gives up after a tank crash, we all have them and will have them again.

Can't wait for the new venture.

There have been reports of both Kent and Brightwells that I've read about being contamintated with "heavy metals". Best of luck with the new build.
