For you running the new RW pumps...

2 RW-8's, IMO. I was blowing sand everywhere in a ADA 60P set on like the lowest setting. That's about 24" lengthwise. I switched to a RW-4 and now I'm able to use max settings. The "reef mode" is random and you can't set it like a Vortech and have it max out at a certain percent.. it goes random up to 100% so the RW-8's will probably be the best bet if you want to use that mode.

I don't have a MP40 to compare too... The RW15 does have more flow than my WP40s IMO, I like the controller better too.

As far as if it is sized right for your tank? That is a pretty subjective question and has more to do more with what type of corals you want to keep. LPS/Zoas don't need much flow to be happy. My SPS tank loves lots of flow and the sand blows around to where it wants to be, so I have barespots on the bottom of the tank but the corals are happy.

I'm also finding I need to increase flow overtime as frags grow into colonies. So starting out with a pump turned down may not be a bad thing.
