Formalin MS - does it lose concentration with time?

Hi. I made 10gal salt water and dosed 10ml Formalin MS in order to bath some newly purchased fish. Long story short, I ended up not buying any fish that day.

Would the 10gal formalin water still be good to dip after 2-3 days?

or would it lose effect like Prazi Pro?

I don't want to over medicate the tank... if needed I'll just toss the water.

I'm under the impression that it does lose its effectiveness over time but I'm not 100% sure. I would just make new water and redose when needed just to be safe.
Also from what everyone recommends and what I have read here a 30-40min dip is advised over a long term bath.

thanks! I planned to buy 3 yellow tangs and 3 anthias at the local shop so I made the water and dosed 10ml. preparing for a 30min bath.. anthias was labeled Trio for $89.99. then owner tried to sell me each for 89.99 and claim Trio is part of anthias name..

I would never add the formalin before the fish are in the bath container. If you add it too early it may actually lose some potency.
What you want to do in advance is to aerate the the water well so it is saturated with oxygen.

I see. I thought I was suppose to add the Formalin an hour in advance so it mixes well. This makes things a lot easier now.
