Forrest's Reef Tank Build
Ok! Saturday the first! Update. Scored 160 gallons of RC for 50 bucks. Did a 6 gallon water change on the display tank, also brought the SG up from .023 to .025. Thankfully my Duncan is ok, the little red mushroom decided he didn't like his spot and got chopped a bit by the ph got up moved him to a small spot last night, checked the tank before bed and he was now on top of my Duncan with it 100 percent closed, never seen him so tightly shut. Got the dead/ dieing shroom out. Got 2 purple firefish and got the QT situated with more PVC hiding spots. Also got an ammonia badge for the QT. All fish are officially in QT. got another new 10k bulb, I'd like to pay my truck off this month so leds are going to have to wait.
So that's the update, hopefully no issues arise or the such! All in all a great Saturday!
However I gotta say I'm pretty sure a drug addiction would be cheaper then this hobby!!! Hahahaha but I absolutely love it!

Sad day, Kim woke up and text me the gramma passed. It looks from this picture to maybe be flukes? Or a worm of sorts? The two fires are eating like pigs and the blenny seems fine. I was plannin on starting prazi this weekend but that plan got moved up, will hopefully get some tomorrow. Here's a pic she sent me, there's a white thing hanging off his side. Really bummed however petco I do believe has a guarantee so ill at least be able to recoup the loss monetarily.
Any thoughts as to what it may be?

Its a good thing it was still in QT. Its kind of hard to see in the pic to say what it is. Better pic would have helped. Is there anything else in the QT?

I'm no expert, I don't even have a tank ATM 
but that smart feeder seems to me like it can introduce the possibly to underfeed certain fish, less dominant fish...but then again.. Food isn't exactly given out in a soul kitchen in the ocean either!

Thankfully petco gave me some credit,.. I'm not seeing any growths or specks on the other fish in the tank. Going to start a proactive treatment of prazipro tomorrow. I took the two rocks out of the tank guess ill just toss them. Lesson learned for that I suppose.

So the two firefish are doing good and eating, im still worried about the blenny as he does not seem interested in food, tried algae wafers, mysis, formula 2, and green sea weed, I minced up garlic and put garlic juice on the seaweed tonight so hopefully he starts eating, however i just saw him look like hes munchimg on stuff finally! getting about time to clean the filter on there though. Also my Duncan is doing great again and sprouting new heads!

Ugh!!! I'm so bummed, no more fish from petco ever! Came home to Lenny the blenny dead, I'm assuming from his hunger strike. Thankfully no ammonia spike and the two fire fish are eating and doing fine. =/.
Secondarily I built a frag rack for my zoas for the time being as they are stretching quite a bit so I got them about 5 inches closer to the lights.

No I was trying to make sure he was eating before I started dosing it. Going to start it tonight for the two fire fish. I feel like they were both just super stressed petco shows no husbandry techniques as to the fish when they come in so I feel like they are just beyond the point of being saved a lot of the time which is a real bummer because our petco has a great selection of fish.

Sorry to hear that, next time you get a blenny try crab cusine pellets, brown sea weed and make sure you have anough alage for them to graze on.

Started PraziPro on the firefish today. Also hopefully getting some new rock for the tank and hopefully a few frags!! It's an addiction!!!

WOW!!!! sac stores are amazing, Your Reef is amazing! Got 6 amazing frags there for 10 a pop and got 3 free. Also got a coco worm with a super cool black sponge on it which adds great contrast. Also at a not nearly as awesome place called exotic aquarium I got 2 little frags or 5 a piece and 30 pounds of curing live rock. The frags I got either one don't exist in redding or two cost at least 35 for the same small size. I am so super excited!!! Pics later tonight!!!! Got some montis, brains, awesome zoas, acan, trumpet, torch, chalice, paly.

Woooo! Seriously can't wait to get my better lights! But here's pics of what I got today! Kim really liked the coco worm so she got that, it's super cool cuz it has a black sponge around it which really makes it pop! Pics! Enjoy!

To everyone who is starting make sure to get a quality set of element tests! Ordered my Salifert tests last night you can get them on amazon for far less then normal price! Can't wait to get em and check em out. Also will be ordering my Reefbreeders next week!! Pics to follow of course.
