Four Line Wrasse and Mandarins?

Has anybody experience how Four Line Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus tetrataenia) and Mandarin fish get along?

I know that the Sixlines often don't tolerate Mandarins who they know from their common distribution area, but the Fourlines come from Hawai'i and should have never seen Mandarins before.

I think the old cop out reply "depends on the individual" applies. I haven't added these two together as I try not to mix pod predators but remember a customer adding them together (they got the mandarin from another shop) and coming in saying the wrasse (who I believe was resident and fully mature) didn't take kindly to the addition. I believe it bit the mandarin and proceeded to swim around with it in its mouth.
not as showy or bold but a Pseudocheilinops ataxia might be a better option, or even a pair.

the problem is that the mandarin can't compete for food with other pod eaters. especially wrasses.

Gotta love it when your computer changes what you wrote. Should obviously be P. ataenia. But like the above i'm not a fan of mixing pod predators.

Food competition would be of lesser concern than aggression. I've seen sixlines picking mandarins to death so I thought maybe a 4-line would be less aggressive.
Seems not to be the case, so I won't risk it.
