Wow $160 for a rose bulb? i can easily get them for half of that. I just got one today and my clown already loves it

Is thereanything that special about these compared to normal RBTA's? They are running these under 20,000k's and actinics so I am just curious if these are regular RBTA's and the lighting is making the colors pop. Has anyone bought one of these before?

That's exactly what I was thinking except replace half with quarter. LA, although they have very healthy products, good quality, and very good customer service, has always been a little expensive for some things and outrageously insanly high prices on others...

Wowowow! I feel sorry for the poor sap that pays that. I've noticed a lot of stores and online shops banking on the rarety of the RBTA, yet they seem to be exteremely popular in people's tanks.

i guess ill be a poor sap...we dont get the selection here of RBTA at all in our LFS...in fact, i can think of only 2-3 times i have ever seen one for sale in the last 10 years.

If these are truly this nice then I would say that the price is accurate. I am also hearing that these "red" RBTA's are AC'ed thus making them worth more.
If they are wild then that is a different story since they could be dyed and fade over time.
I was seriously thinking about grabing one and a pair of Blue Stripe clowns.

Blue Stripes can be quite difficult to acclimate to tank life...

they are not dyed and in a good aquarium would retain those colors

FWIW: My experience with Diver's Den BTA's. I bought a GBTA in January, I'm pretty sure it was WC not AC because 3mos later it is still acclimating. But the color and size were pretty darn close when I got it and it shipped very well. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it IMHO.

i would not put it past someone to start propping these anems in a lagoon somewhere in the pacific but they are probobly all from the ocean
