Wanted to share a couple of pics of my Fowleri Tang. When I first got him he was 4 inches. Now he's getting close to 9 inches. A fast grower..

well the one i have was 3" and is almost 10" now...its been around 10-11 months now. I thought vlamingis grew fast until this guy!

Sounds the same for my Fowleri too.
Vlamingi tangs are ferocious eaters. It's amazing how fast, big those suckers get lol!!

wow!! 7" in 10 months! that's unreal...been thinking of getting one recently but now im having second thoughts until I upgrade to a larger tank.

Mine had a similar growth rate FWIW, very quick. I feed him a lot though...

Looking good coral_lagoon, beautiful fish. In the mornings the sun comes in through a big picture window by my tank and the natural light on the fowleri is absolutely stunning.

It's definitely not for lack of food (just ask all the butterflies in the tank with him ). I mean it's not that he hasn't grown at all... but nothing like what you saw. Which, truth be told, suits me OK. He's fat and healthy looking, so I don't necessarily want a giant in 2 years

Looks Great! My Fowleri is the fastest growing in my 300, followed by my unicorn of course!

Mine is definitely starting to get some size on him. I guess I just forgot how small he really was when I first got him, but looking back at old photos this weekend, I'd say he's almost doubled in size in 9 months now. He's also starting to get the pronounced mound of a forehead.

He really was tiny in those old pictures! I had forgotten. I would love to see what coral_lagoon's is looking like these days too!
