Foxface question

Hey guys, just had a quick question. I just got a one spot foxface a couple days ago. He seems very happy in the tank, swims around out and about and eats a ton from the algae clip. My question is.. Is it normal for him to have that brown stripe on the upper portion of his body still? I know they change color when stressed and sleeping but he seems very happy but isn't 100% yellow yet.

I think it's normal to have some variation in the spot size and shape. If he's acting happy, I wouldn't worry - nice fish :)

I know the spot will stay there but in front of the spot he is brown.. Which I thought was supposed to be yellow when he's happy.

Mine turns different colors all the time. I think he even tries to change color to hide. If he's eating he's fine.

I agree with everyone both of mine are weird.... lol

my species - yellow blotched and two barred foxfishes

Mine is has crisper delineation but many don't. Looks fine to me.

Mine changes color ALL the time. It can turn entirely black to bright yellow 5 times within seconds. It lives with the same fish he's been with for years. All are big, fat and healthy. I believe it to be entirely natural....it's almost like the video we've all seen of the octopus flashing color variation..
