Frag auction pictures... Post here please

I haven't had difficulty when any of the chalices I have so far. Even the one that I accidentally ripped off a rock healed up and has growth. Quickly too!

I can tell you that what is working for me is that they are in low light. About 36" from the lights. I am running LEDs (EcoTech Radions) at a peak of 30%.

My water is pretty clean. I am running a mixed tank and my sps are doing fine as well.

I am not dosing, running 2 part, or adding Kalk. I'll probably do this gradually in the future, but the chalices haven't required it for the decent growth they have already given me.

And where they are located in the tank gives about 70-80 par.

I think I may be running my Radion's too high. I Have a deep tank and my chalices are on the bottom. They're doing fine, but my JMT is looking washed out. it's off to the side, but my lights are at 60%. My birdsnest is looking good and so is my other acro. That JMT is frustrating the crap out of me!

I think a lot of factors can play into it, but I used to run my radions too high as well and found myself bleaching stuff. While some sps might like it, I have found the pieces that I enjoy the most don't need such intensity. They do however still seem to want a good full spectrum. I run the lights on a preset as well. I'll get on the computer tomorrow and post what it is I am running and the times, etc.

I read an article by Melev yesterday that touched on this, he speaks mostly to photoperiod, but mentions needing to turn his LEDs way back when he first purchased them then slowly ramping them up to the intensity that looked best to him.
