i'm sure that's a very comforting thought to Dave.

Location

Location

They posted the location to the frag swap. Here it is:

It is official. The swap will be on January 20th from 12:00-4:00 at the Pleasant Green Community Center in Goodlettsville. We have the upper floor. It is built into a hill, so there is a driveway to the upper story doors for loading and unloading, but we will have to go one car or so at a time (not a lot of room to turn around, but enough to work). It is a slope, so be careful of losing water going up. We have around 4000 sq ft, so we should not feel at all cramped. I'll get a map or a link posted soon to the community center and to nearby hotels and eateries (and other not so nearby hotels and eateries).

Also he mentioned he wants people to show up from 12-4pm cst. Their opening the room at 8am for people to set up.

Does anyone know if that is the
Delmas Long Community Center
200 Memorial Drive
Goodlettsville, TN
or has Google failed me?

He has us down for 2 tables, but I haven't heard that anyone is bringing anything for the swap. We can bring a tank, and all needed supplies if anyone is interested. I need to know who all will be going, and how many are bringing frags to sell. That way I know what size tank to bring, etc. I am setting a deadline of January 13, 2007. That is the date of our next club meeting, and a week before the swap. Anyone after that will be on their own. I can bring up to about a 75 gallon tank, powerheads, heaters, water, lights, etc.

Also, if anyone wants to carpool, let's start organizing it now. Jason Foos said he can get several in his truck. Del Weaver and Sherri Austin from Arkansas may like to go. If would be nice if they didn't have to drive the whole way to Nashville. Maybe they can meet up with someone here in Memphis, and catch a ride up.

I'll be taking at least 20 frags, perhaps more. I'll let you know the number more specifically as we get closer to Jan 13. If I have a frag tank set up by then I'll bring lots home, which would be my preference. Otherwise I'll have to sell.

I'd like to carpool. I can ride or drive. I have a Ford Escape that can sit 5 and have room for stuff in the rear.

I fragged several corals yesterday and will frag more tomorrow. I should have several frags (possibly 20+). Nick and I are planning on going up on Saturday. Does anyone know of any local hotels?

I went with about $100 dollars last year and came home with 20+ varieties of zoanthids, a maxima clam and a clownfish. I thought the prices from hobbiests were very low, but the prices from the few vendors were a little higher. They were by no means high, but were definitely higher than hobbiests prices.

The past swaps I went to had frags ranging from 5 to 25 dollars, and Justcorals (at swap last Jan.) offered colonies at average online prices, but towards the end of the swap his prices dropped quite a bit.

I will most likely dirve, I think that will have to be the day I will be going to Glass Cages to pickup my new tank. I can kill tow birds with one stone that way. If I go early in the am I can get to Dickson at 9 am and go from there to the frag swap. Now if only I can find both of them.
