frag swap is coming

I am with you guys on what you decide and I will be available to help any way i can when the time comes so add me as a volunteer somewhere . Maybe help Tina with the concessions ...although I have never done anything like this before , I want to be a supporting member of the club . It will take a lot of us to get this thing to be something that is worth other reefers time.

Thanks grannybj
I put the suggestion to Tina that the club needs to decide if it wants to have a company come in (which usually they don't like new shows because they want a set number of people to come)or the club can buy snacks and drinks at Sams club to resale. we can have a area set up with club members in shifts to staff it. Tina also said she would check with her sister to see if she still has a working concessions stand. Thought I would update you.
Anyone else have ideas on concessions?

I have a case of frozen hot dogs I'd be happy to donate. I think we can easily do this ourselves (I ran a concession stand for my son's high school football team) rather than have it catered. Hot dogs, soda, bottled water, chips, candy, pizza are all easy (a large pizza from Little Caesar's is $5, and you can have it cut in 6 large slices and sell for $2 per slice). Lettie and I would be happy to volunteer for a couple hours. I say this of course without asking her. Ha!

would there be a spot up there for us to cook in & sell out of?

only if you provided it

i have a gas stove i can bring. so there are no kitchen facilities? seems a bit odd. no sinks? we might just have to stick with pizza, chips, candy and sodas if that's the case.

I'll have to check on the gas stove that may be against fire code. These places have strick guide lines to follow. Usually concessions are sold out of a trailer that is designed for concessions , or premade catered food where they use chaffers with sterno to keep them warm. I'll double check though. The only sinks I know of are in the rest rooms.

What if we get the big boxes of frozen hamburger patties at sams, grill them the night before or morning of and have them available. Would they be yucky if they were warmed up in microwave and would there be a place for people to make up their burgers or hotdogs.

We could set up a table station that they could fix there hot dog. We have a booth at a bridal show for our business and they buy hamburgers, philly cheese steak, and chicken sandwiches, already made and prewraped at Sams. You just heat in the microwave. I've tried them and they are good. Not as good if you were getting at a fast food joint. But still good.

what about the Pepsi place here in coll, they rent out there concession stands, there like the ones you see at the fair, but we would buy the food & run it, you want me to call and see how much?
