Hello,
I have a question. One of the local wholesalers in my area is going out of business and thus selling his "holding tanks" they are 24x24x11 And i thought perfect frag tank! and only 15 bucks and he has over 200 of them. Here in lies my question since they were used as "holding tanks" for fish one can only assume that there was some sort of treatment in there copper or otherwise? now will this be a problem down the road? he claims thay have been sitting dry for over 1 year. thanks in advance. Chris

I would test for copper to make sure. I can't really say if they are safe or not for copper unless you test them. Don't assume and test each one before you buy them. You don't want to regret buying them later on.

Ask them what kind if any meds were used in them. Maybe they only used a select few for hospital tanks. Just a thought

where are you located cause that is a great price for what i would consider the perfectly dimensioned nano tank. if it is local to me that would be awesome

Do a search in the Chem Forum. There was some talk awhile back about how doing a mild acid wash to remove any possible copper traces from glass tanks.
