frag tank

Hello,
I have a 24"x24" fooot print that I Want toplace a frag tank in.

how high should I get it ?

I was thinking 14" ? egg crate on bottom, no sand. 150 W MH 10,000K.
and I have a nano stream with a controller that I will use for wave.

should I go deeper ? any advantages or disadvantages you guys can think of ?

Just for sps? 14" is a little taller then the avg frank tank usually 8-12 if your are going to have it right next to your dt or you loose a viewing angle. In the end you can move the corals up or down w/egg crate only reason height matters is if you want to grow low light stuff lower and how many powerheads you need for good flow or if you want more tank volume

yap going beside my SPS tank and will be all SPS.

my tank stand is 40"tall, and tank itself 24" .

so I was thinking for frag tank to go with a stand 30" tall, and tank 14" so total of 44" to only cover the little area on the side of the larget tank and not the whole view.

getting short stand for frag tank, I can use it as a top down tank too, maybe some nice clams.

thanks, so usual is 8-12 inch, hmmm nice, maybe I can lower it to 12" to get it out of the larget tanks way fully. the 150W halide should be enough for that shallow too I think.

150w will work. i found for my frag tank i wanted the same light i have over my dt or your colours shift when you frag stuff. Just something to think of (im About to switch my light for the 3rdsame time lol)

hoping to get more growth in the frag tank !

main point of this frag tank will be "grow out tank" and then some fragging on the side.

I have way too many SPS eatign fish in my DT, so getting rare frags is kinda pointless, as my moorish idol would eat it in 5 mins, so want to grow it out there and then move to DT ...

I also have a 20,000K MH that I can switch to, once I get tired of the yellowish of 10K
