My hammer keeps growing into a ball shape and I drag the bottom branches to create new colonies.
Is there a natural rockscape/mounting preference for these ball hammers so they can continue to grow without much work?
I don't see it since the bottom will always be shaded.
Right now, the bottom is getting killed by GSP, but you can see the second dome on the left that's a previous frag that has since started to form another ball.
Here it is at night to show the skeleton:
