Fragging hammer coral

My hammer keeps growing into a ball shape and I drag the bottom branches to create new colonies.

Is there a natural rockscape/mounting preference for these ball hammers so they can continue to grow without much work?

I don't see it since the bottom will always be shaded.

Right now, the bottom is getting killed by GSP, but you can see the second dome on the left that's a previous frag that has since started to form another ball.

There is not much you can do other than fragging. I run into the same problem. I just let the bottom ones die if I don't have time to frag. I eventually cut the dead ones out and wait a few months and I have new branches there that I can frag and sell or give away, but it can get busy some months.

I love how your corals look. That purple one to the right of the hammer on the last photo is amazing. If it wasn't for the GSP, it would look even better, but getting rid of GSP once it gets to that level, will be very hard. Good luck!

I put it on top of an isolated peak rock. It looks very happy

If you don't mind me asking. What kind of light do you use? I would guess MH because of your colors and growth, but wanted to confirm.

I use 3 x 400W HQI 14K MH with supplemental blue and UV DIY LED, but I turn the LEDs off when I take pics or video.
