Frankie's 120 gal. reef.

Well, I found out last night that T.Gigas are not shallow tank clams. I was dosing and it decided to expel it's water with a normal quick snap closed. Needless to say it shot about 1/2 a gallon of water up and over the tank onto the wall. LOL, was pretty cool looking but I rather have control over the water changes and just look at the clam ;)
I will need to build a shield for it until I rescape and light the DT.

Which Zeovit products are you using?
Basic 4 minus the food7. Plus Coral Snow, PCV, and PX. RBS for weekly water changes. Yes, My corals have gotten brighter, and better growth and colors are stronger :)

Thanks for stopping in Kenny! I think you missed the next set of pictures with the exterior overflow attached. That is why the one side is 1 1/2" lower then the rest. It is a side coast to coast exterior overflow.
I will try to get some more pictures up tomorrow some time. Still trying to figure out what to do with the Titanic Monti. This is huge and has to go~

this tank is breath taking...
Thanks BlkfrontEnd. :)
The tank has a long way to go though. I just tore it all down and am rescaping. I am hoping it will be better this time around. It's an ongoing process of insanity my wife tells her friends~

Time to update this thread.
As I stated I tore the whole system down and rebuilt it. I got tiered of working in that big cabinet and placed the 120 on an iron stand with 2x400w Radium's in lumen bright pendants on galaxy ballasts..
All the fish have been in a 55g in quarantine for the past 8 weeks. I am raising the salinity now and there scheduled to go back in on the 4th of April. They all pulled through wonderfully.
All the aquarium equipment is in the garage. so what you see is what you get now. It is very quiet in the house and easy to work on now.
I am into my 7th month on Zeovit.

What lfs do you shop at in Charleston? I don't remember seeing any when I went there for a vacation 1 year ago . I went to the Aquarium there and enjoyed an IMax flix . I guess I am asking were your corals locally purchased ?

TIA

Thanks for stopping in everyone! I did not get notice or I would have replied sooner. I did a bit more scaping and added a few more corals from the frag tank. I will get some pictures up tomorrow. :)

mordibv: Some corals were. I have a few from Aquatic Imports and Tideline. Two locals. To be honest though most of my stuff is from online vendors. I like Pacific East Aquacultures and have a few out of town LFS that I deal with.
I am imported shrimp here from NY. Just over 4 years now. Personally I am not a big fan of the aquarium here, they don't have a reef! I am spoiled with places like Atlantis out in River Head NY and killer LFS. The IMax shut down but they are building a new one here in West Ashley. Should be interesting :)
Thanks for visiting mordibv, how do you like my system?

You have a beautiful set-up! The tank looks very healthy, beautiful corals and fish. The custom surround - is very unique, and the Brazilian cherry is really nice - your talent shows in the workmanship.

^^^Well, somehow I didn't see the latest part of the thread...so I still mean what I said above!
Now you have a very "clean" set-up, and I guess I can understand you wanting the change to something simpler. You clearly know how to aquascape, and it already looks great with what you've done. Con't good luck.
