Free 40lb Live sand - in Brentwood

I have 40 lbs of Arag Figi live sand from a 29 gallon tank that i cleaned out.

The sand has been cleaned with freshly made 25 gallons of 7 stage RODI saltwater.

Anyone wna get it ...its free, pm me and you can come pick it up.

Its in a black plastic bag and the bag in a styrofoam box.

Whats wrong with the sand! Why don't you use it. If cleaned properly there is no reason not to use it IMO. Especially if your using more than just the 40lbs. Just seed it with some new Live sand and you will be fine. Ca Reactor/ Gauges/ Solenoid, for sale 100.00 all you need is co2 tank, Luft pump 20.00 and ready to go.

My pH falls to 8 at night...trying to decide what to do about that

Im converting my 29 gallon tank into a sump/refug

Just waiting got home depot to open so i can get some acrylic

already got the silicone from there

That is pretty much normal, When your lights go out your PH goes down. As long as it dosn't go below 8.0 it is not a problem. If it does you can drip limewater at night to raise your PH, but you must be careful not to dose too fast or you will raise it too much. A swing from 8.0 to 8.3 or 8.4 is fine during the coarse of the day. Sometimes mine goes as high as 8.5 if the windows are open re: fresh air!
