Free mantis near chicago

I have a mantis that I got as a hitchhiker in some fiji live rock for my 2.5g. He is still living in the rock and am feeding him til I find a good home for him. He is a cool little guy, I just dont want him to be cramped in this 2.5g tank or I would keep it. Would prefer pickup as I have never shipped any kind of livestock before. I am actually in rockford illinois but would be willing to meet someone within a reasonable distance of rockford.

no I dont, I wish he would come out of the hole long enough for me to get one. Only time he will is when I squirt a mysis shrimp in front of the hole and he comes out so fast and darts back in I cant get a pic of him.

I might take him. How far is rockford from Downers Grove? Can you give me an idea of his color and size? Thanks!

looks like your about an 1-1.5 hours, take 88w to 39 then go north. He is brown in color, and from what i have seen of him, he is maybe an inch to an inch and a half long. Although i have never seen him come out of the hole completely.

He is out of the rock and doing well, I have a crappy picture phone photo I will post, will have better pix later when reg camera is charged.
