First to pm...

LOL, I had TFH and FAMA going back to 1980 or something like that and all went to Goodwill when we moved last. Couldn't figure out why I was lugging them around, never looked at them, and if I did would find old info anyway :)

Am assuming yours aren't that old, but reminded me of it.

Yeah, I frequently sit in the library... andI'll pull one. Read it fast, and pile it....

The next day, skip ahead to the same magazine 2 years later, and find the same article with some (very little) new content.

I really got sick of reading every month about how to cycle my tank, or which fish were compatible.... ESPECIALLY fresh water. No offense to you Fresh Water geeks, but I wasn't patient enough and smart enough to handle FRESHWATER... perhaps someday, I'll buy one of you FW geeks a beer, and you can explain it all to me really slow. :D

Scooter, I'm only 1/2 as old as you... no, just kidding, I'm pushing 32 this year... I got Miss Rebecca for my 30th birthday... My magazines date back to like 94 or so... and I think there's a couple back to 88. Those are especially entertaining, since CBS are referred to as "Boxer" shrimp, and little was known...

My personal beleif is that they would make a great library to read cover to cover and first to last, for the newbies, to understand where this hobbie has come from... what's been tried, how it worked... why it failed, and what came next... and next... and Next.... and so on and so forth.

I used to entertain my self by going to 3 different stores and asking the same questions... did you ever do that? Get 4 different answers....

BY THE WAY, they are ALL magazines, no books... the hard cardboard covery material is a magazine organizer my wife got from the book keeping dept at work 3 jobs ago...

Oh,yeah.....

Scooter, I only did this to see if I could 1 up you on piles of Qrap.

See, my piles bigger.

Someone might want it... Really.

I used to have FAMA's from the late 70's.
One time I took them out and read them. It was really funny especially the ads.
Actually I prolly still have them in the basement somewhere lol unless the hubby threw em out.
Julian wrote reef notes even back then and that was my fav. thing to read.

Jason I thought you were gone?

I could have brought them to the auction, but wasn't aware of them until this last one. I took them all to Goodwill when we moved in Nov. 2003. We made almost weekly van load trips of stuff to Goodwill. Combining two houses into a single half finished one got us looking for things to toss, and had no time to mess with selling anything either :(

My parents were happy though! I've moved so many times through the years and they have helped for a lot of them, and insisted they were NEVER moving that many boxes of books and magazines ever again, LOL.

Jason you owe me a chess game when I get back.

No I don't want the magazines.

Have a fun vacation. Maybe you'll be able to enjoy the sun and sand more than I was.

Soon very soon we'll be on this big metal thing that defies gravity that supposadly will take us home.

I stll have 'em, Free. but you'll have to pick them up, the last guy I checked into all the $ for shipping and then just stopped answering the pm's....

NO ship, theirs lots of info there... otherwise I will donate them to a couple schools to cut up for colages... or something...

I can't beleive this, all the new people out there that are and have so much to learn, and I'm offering the greatest gift of all... knowledge... oh, well... Monday is recycle day...

Would this new nature info area be in Jeff's store? If so you may want to have him check through all the articles for misinformation or erroneous facts.
