Most websites I've visited inform that the FRENCH ANGELFISH needs at least 100 gallon aquarium to thrive in. Some people told me (even here on my last thread) that my 120 gallon would be too small........Please advise....thanks

French angel in huge tank

I have one in a 210 and I wouldn't want him in anything smaller. I had to redo my rock work to allow him swimming area. I grew him from a 2 inch juv to a 8 inch adult in 2 years.

thats actually a blue i believe

I was talking about the queen trigger. Guess I wasn't too clear. I think the angel is a blue as well.

I think given the proportion of french angels - a 6' tank that was say 30" deep and 27-30" tall would be the ideal minimum.

240 - ok, but given the proportions of the fish, I;d say a slightly "chunkier" tank is better, even if it means compromising on the overall length of the system. Remember, these guys get nearly as "tall" as they do long, and even for angels, they are quite "thick"......
