Frenchy 120G : from project to build

Very nice, Marc...your project has a lot of work and planning behind. I sign up to follow its evolution, friend!

Yano as i said above your tanks as V1...rotate and Sweet Ride ones are those who made the project take the direction he has taken yet.

Marc, it is the folks like you that take the time to create a distinct vision for their tank and then work to achieve it that move this hobby forward. Very impressive!!!

Looking good! I'm looking forward to see the livestock and how you'll be dosing the tank.

Hi Ca/Kh will be dosing through original Balling process (3 solutions Ca/Kh/"salt without Cl") and dossing pump after regular Kh readings.

For livestock : The tanks will be most SPS populated so

- Corals :
As i am a big fan of millepora i want to set colors brand in 2/3 front area but some other acropora as tenuis => brands that like high flow. In the 1/3 back area i will put 2 or 3 colors brands of staghorn (acropora formosa)
This for base SPS livestock. I don't want to put high number of little frags, but want reduced choiced frags and let their enough place to have large colonnies growth patern

-Fish : I will try with 2 (3 if i can) little (juvenil) yellow tang and a couple of centropyge acanthops, add with some little fish (blenny, macrophayngodon...) brand but don't want to over populated the tank.

What a fantastic start to your build! Really like what you did with the lighting and having the ability to move the whole rack back and forth. Going to be a beauty of a setup :)

Thanks for kind words. The next steps will be major on lightning, arduino control, aquascape and basement technical room....as picture are more internationnal as my poor english i will abuse of picture posting :wildone::wildone::wildone:

Marc

Today i work a little bit on my lightning. I had to made a choice between two lens for multichip led : 120° et 70°. Finaly i vote for the 120°. The two picture under are the 120°

The final lightning will have 8 time the power on picture.

Can we see a birds-eye-view of the scape? When scaping I look at it from that way as well to figure out if I have enough coral placement areas etc etc. Looks good in any event.

Past weekend i've done 5 more glass drill : external overflowbox, return pump connexion, and emergency drain to bucket. I need to put a valve gate between sump and return pump. I glue too the first glass partition wall (water inlet and mircon bag area). I am waiting my skimmer (ATI 200 powercone) for installing the latest internal wall that will achieve constant water height in skimmer area.

Love this build and especially the moving light rack. Leds really need this option to prevent shading.

Shading musn't be i issue i think since the whole tank area will me cover by 8 54W "spot light" through 120° lens. The moving rack is more to provide better intank acces.

My new bubble engine is at home : ATi Powercone 200 IS DC with new Jebao DCT4000....I need to build a 3" shelf to have rigth water level in skimmer...
