freshwater python in saltwater tank?

hey guys just wanted a quick advise. i have a phyton water changer that i use in freshwater. if i just wash the part that goes in freshwater, can i use that to drain water out of saltwater tank? or is it not good to do that?
same question for algae scraper brush? if i wash the brush can i use it?

I don't see any problem, as long as you clean them between so as not to cross contaminate, especially if you use copper in your freshwater to treat parasites and you have inverts in the SW.

If it were me, i'd pick up another algae scarper - they're cheap enough. As for the Python siphon - rinse and use! I've had mine since the early 1980's - a great tool IMO
