Where is it and where did it come from?I guess you took time to photo shop the picture? How about the whole picture? I dont think I have seen something that small, if indeed it is small, lol.

Now I am curious, why do you all say it is torch coral? How can you tell the difference between frogspawn and torch?

the one on the left is a euphyllia
(can see the hard skeleton its attached to)

the one on the right am almost certain is a MAJANO !!!
:mad2:

thought the same thing (euphy) when first spotted it floating
even though it didnt have the hard skeleton thought that perhaps it got blown off somehow... so like the other euphyllia in the photo i stuck it in the fuge... just yesterday spotted this one sitting loose on the bottom and the image of a majano came to mind so i scooped it up and put it in container.

we had majanos couple years ago
and hadnt seen one since... at that time thought we had gotten rid of them by removing all the rock they were attached to as well as all the rock surrounding... if this is indeed a majano then more then likely it was when we re-did some of the rockwork recently in the tank they decided to start moving.. we have not added any coral or LR to this system for over a year

good reason to justify buying a majestic angel now!

something happened to our camera
for some reason all the images are coming out fuzzy... here is an attempted image of the underside of the majano to show what it looks like underneath...

Experience, I guess. Both of them look like a torch I have--- torch corals have "single" tentacles and frogspawn tends to have "branchy" tentacles.

Now, the one on the right seems to have no skeleton--- if that's the case, it is NOT a torch/frogspawn..... at least if it IS a torch, it won't be for long :( I've never seen one separate from it's skeleton but I guess it's possible.

first off nice mouth! Second it isn't a majano..

come on cough it up...
what are you thinking it is?
;)

still convinced its a majano until proven otherwise
but willing to hear counter offers
;)

here is a good thread for reference from the sps forum
there are many images for comparison.

I would think the torch would sting the crap out of the majano if they were in that close proximity to each other?
