Thanks again for your help with the clams. Thought I would show you some photos of "evidence" and damage.

Here is the start of the damage:

1 removed to prop tank (now showing much 'happier' extension than in the pic, but nips clearly seen). There is another in the prop tank with extraordinary damage, and I am not sure it will recover.

The second image was one of the 2 killed

I had the same problem in my tank. Little nips out of the edge of the mantle. I also had a couple fish come up missing. I purchased a large piece of Vanuatu live rock which has holes through out it. One night I was watching the tank when all of the sudden I see somthing come out of the live rock. Nasty thing that looked like an alien. It only stuck its head out about 3-4" and wiggled around for about 15 seconds and slid back into the rock. I had thought this was the culprit. Well I tore down my 120 gallon Saturday and was giving that large piece to my brother, so we decided to get the monster out. I put the piece of live rock over a bucket and poured hyper saline water over it to drive the worm out. Ahhhhhhhh, it was 2-3 feet long the size of a nickel round with feet all along its body and had feelers around its head which had manible type pinchers. I think there was another person on this board that had somthing eating his soft corals, he took his PVC pipe that supported the rockwork to find a 6 foot worm.

Chris, I do remember that thread about the 6 foot worm living in the PVC. That was scary hideous groos and nasty!
