Hey guys, got this from LPS the other day and was told it was a Black Indo Torch, but it has the hammer tips and frog spawn looking tips, any one seen this before?

Yeppers I've seen some odd ones lately. Picked up what would be a relatively common piece recently (green frogspawn with purple tips) but the last tip of each tentacle is hammer shaped. Front right in this pic, sry in advance the pic isn't that great.IMG_20181223_130853.jpg

From the bit of research I've done apparently they do have the potential to crossbreed when spawning sexually (usually in the wild). As in auctually spitting sperm and eggs into the water not the way they normally split in our aquariums.

I auctually had a torch start spawning today while I was watching, got a pic and wanted to share since this topic had come up.

Could be wrong but I was told the hammer/frog spawn cross is called a "Frammer" We have one for a while.
Cheers! Mark

Your not wrong :) a common name is basically just one that's commonly used, so that could absolutely be used to describe the cross and I've heard it before. I don't know that there's an official scientific classification for the different cross breeds tho they might just be classified under which ever genes are more dominant at this point.
